Alissa Millenson

Alissa (Al) is a UX consultant, photographer, and mindfulness coach who helps teams align opportunities, frame insights, and create differentiated experiences through intentional collaboration, learning, and design.

From creating new products to evolving existing ones, Alissa brings a creative, friendly, and strategic approach to uncovering insights, inspiring ideas, and making things more usable.

With a career spanning over 10 years in service design, UX, and research. Alissa’s clients include Federal Government to Fortune 500 with deep stints in healthcare, hospitality, and real estate. Alissa started her career in boutique innovation consulting firm Peer Insight and supported organizational design and change larger design teams at Fjord, Accenture Song, Booz Allen Hamilton and Philips Experience Design.

In addition to her career in design, Alissa pursued certifications in yoga, somatic trauma therapy, and Trauma of Money. She brings this holistic approach to her work.

Alissa holds a B.A. in Anthropology and a B.F.A. in Communication Design from Washington University in. St. Louis. Outside of her UX work, she has a photography business and does mindfulness coaching.

Born outside of Chicago, she has lived in St. Louis, Washington D.C., and Pittsburgh. After a few years of a nomadic lifestyle, she is currently home-based in Austin, TX.
